At tbs, We have the knowledge and experience to support your project from start to finish. From navigating building challenges like water leaks, air infiltration or condensation to exterior repairs (caused by damaged or aging systems) to new building construction concerns, like the desire to lower enclosure issue risks and building maintenance costs, we service all building envelope issues.

Our Services
Forensic Services
We provide clients with existing buildings the expertise to identify and resolve the root cause of building enclosure deficiencies for historic and contemporary building types.
Our approach to these project types may include a review of original drawings and past reports, a visual evaluation, and forensic testing and investigative, (i.e., investigative water testing, infrared imagine, thermal modeling, selective deconstructions, etc.). We can identify the cause through our process and develop a proper remediation plan.
Enclosure Consulting
For clients involved with new buildings, we provide technical design evaluation and constructability counsel from the conceptual phase through the completion of construction. Drawing upon our experience with building enclosure performance issues (See Forensic Services) tbs specializes in identifying design and construction challenges and developing practical, constructable solutions.
Performance Testing
For diagnostic purposes, we test exterior system components both in the field and in-house to confirm that they will perform as expected. Our testing services include field testing of fenestrations (windows, curtainwall, storefront, etc.) for air and water resistance, as well as adhesion testing of air barriers and sealants.
Building Enclosure Commissioning
Building Enclosure Commissioning (BECx) is a formal process where we oversee and coordinate the traditionally separate functions of enclosure design, assembly fabrication review, monitoring, inspection and testing, system construction and performance verification, system handover documentation, facilities operations, and maintenance training.
