tbs Services, Inc. TBS provided Design Development, Construction Documentation, Bid/Award and Construction Contract Administration Phase services for the design and construction of the Siemens Medical Data Center building expansion for new Electrical Rooms.
The building expansion includes 3 new electrical rooms and a hallway. The construction is a concrete slab on grade with masonry cavity walls at the exterior and CMU single wythe walls at the interior.
The project included a civil engineering component to revise existing site drainage systems and add new piping for the new roof drainage. TBS worked with Sharpe Engineering to ensure the building can house the necessary electrical equipment such as switchgear and generators. We worked with MacIntosh Engineering to ensure the proper structure.
TBS was solely responsible for all components of the exterior including roofing system, wall system, flashings, continuous insulation, doors, frames and associated hardware, interior finishes, site, and grounds restoration etc.
TBS worked continually with the design team and contractors to ensure that any changes were reviewed thoroughly and coordinated in advance to not delay construction.
