Originally built in 1995, the Scottish Rite Tower is a 13-story apartment building, located at 1530 Fitzwater Street in South Philadelphia, and contains 106 Affordable Housing apartments.

The reinforced concrete post and beam structure includes an exterior cavity wall type of construction, consisting of metal stud framing and sheathing, an air space, and an oversize/jumbo exterior face brick.

TBS Services was engaged by Presby’s Inspired Life to perform an assessment of the building envelope, including some selective forensic investigation to identify the existing deficiencies. We provided our client with a report outlining our findings and recommendations on the necessary corrective/remedial work.

Subsequently, TBS prepared the design and documentation for the exterior remedial work, as well as for the replacement of the existing aluminum windows, provided bidding and construction administration services.
