tbs Services, Inc. was engaged to support EEI Healthcare with Building Envelope Commissioning during the fast-track construction of the Hospital, which included technical review of design and construction documentation relating to the building envelope, shop drawing review, and field report preparation.
This new hospital serving Houston includes 106 beds, five operating rooms, two catheterization labs and 14 labor and delivery rooms.
The building is designed to be self-functioning in case of a catastrophic event such as a hurricane.
It features a four-story curtainwall atrium, and an ornate wood and art glass chapel. The exterior is a combination of natural and faux stone, brick and curtainwall.
