TBS Services provided Construction Phase Services for the University of Delaware’s new Biopharmaceutical Innovation Building constructed on the college’s Science Technology and Advanced Research (STAR) Campus.
The six-story building is a new component of the U.S. national initiative known as NIIMBL, (the National Institute for Innovation in Manufacturing Biopharmaceuticals). The facility brings together academia, industry, and government creating an interdisciplinary hub of discovery, innovation, and industrial practice based on collaborative approaches.
Previous to groundbreaking, TBS provided Documentation Phase services which included the review of the SmithGroup/Bernardon team’s 50% and 100% Construction Documentation submissions, as they related to the exterior enclosure components.
Construction Phase Services included 75 site visits to keep informed of the progress of the work as it relates to the building enclosure to determine that the work was being performed in accordance with the construction documentation, and the issuance of appropriate field reports, along with attendance at building enclosure coordination meetings.
Serving architects, owners, managers, and contractors with enclosure system solutions since 1996
