tbs Services, Inc. was selected to provide Building Envelope Commissioning during this project from Construction Documentation through the entire Construction Administration Phase.

TBS provided a complete drawing set review of the Building Envelope components for the UD Academy Street Dining and Residence Hall (ASDR) including below grade and other system waterproofing, flashings, brick masonry and other wall systems, air & vapor barriers, windows, slate roofing, with vegetated and inhabited roof areas over the Dining Hall, other exterior detailing, for 50% Progress and 90% Progress Drawings, and Specifications Issue.

During the execution of the work, TBS was contracted to coordinate with the Design Architect and the Contractors to review submittals and RFI’s pertaining to the exterior, and to provide construction sketches and direction to the contractors as necessary. TBS provided weekly site visits and field reports throughout the construction. Each field report provided a list of items noted together with a list of previously noted open items.

ASDR was built using sustainable design principles in keeping with USGBC’s LEED Program for New Construction, which included Enhanced Commissioning.
